International Womens Day Celebration


Women’s Day Celebration at PRESTIGE International School & P.U.College

As an ode to the mothers and the teachers, PRESTIGE International School and P.U.College celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March, 2018, in the School Auditorium.
The celebration was inspirational to all women present as the Chief Guest Mrs Soujanya Hegde, acclaimed anchor dancer and actress of Mangalore, encouraged women to appreciate themselves. The Guest of Honour Mrs Faahida Ibrahim, Lion’s Club President Known for her humanitarian work, shared her life experience to bolster the courage of women. The programme was Presided by MD Mrs Reshma Hyder who felicitated the winners of various competitions conducted as part of women’s day celebrations. With the guidance of the Principal Mrs Feroza Fayaaz various spot games and group games were organized by the teaching staff. School Counsellor Dr Ruksana Hassan surprised the audience with a dance session led by the Chief Guest Mrs Sanjana Hegde.
The celebration also highlighted the theme of IWD 2018 ‘Press for Progress’, where the women were encouraged to be a part of positive media and promote women’s rights. It was a day to remember and appreciate the achievements of women in all the fields of life.
